Miss Molly
This was my first true newborn photo shoot. These kind of photos are taken in the first ten days of life. After that, babies have more awake time and also, more difficulty being molded into these poses. I feel very comfortable with babies, but I have to admit that I was nervous to try some of the more challenging poses. My first concern is not hurting this fragile little being. And I didn't want to wake her either! It was definitely a learning experience. This was so rewarding. First, getting to document an incredible, new life just beginning. Second, seeing the happiness that it brings to my family who enjoy showing this beautiful little girl. But most important, realizing that 20 years from now, these photos will be so priceless to Jackie and Tony. The memories of the 2AM feedings and multitude of diaper changes will fade, but when they see those photos, they'll remember the strong feeling of love and amazement that they feel now. Being a mom, you know how fast the years go by, and how fast children change. Just in that first month, they change so much! Isn't it great that we have a way to capture our memories?
