Fresh start!
Talking about new beginnings, my most recent photographs were of my niece, Jessica, who graduated cum laude from Bloomsburg University this past week. She is continuing her studies at Towson in Psychology and I'm very proud of her. She was born about a month before I graduated from Bloomsburg University- so it's kind of making me feel a little old, but it was a pleasure taking her photographs as she ends a stage of her life and begins a new one. Capturing a transition time in someone's life is a great joy. Those times are thought of frequently throughout life and I feel honored to be part of it. I was thinking of that after her party when I witnessed her emotional goodbyes with her friends who had shared the last four years of her life. I reflected on my "sisters" in Tri Sig and how close we had become in such a short time, how important they were in those early adult years- and how I felt on my graduation day. (I sent them a FB message that night to tell them). So I'm happy that I was able to capture those memories for her.
